Miriam Rosalky, Board Chair
Originally from Australia, Miriam Rosalky is an educator of theater and English. She began her career teaching drama, English and Dance at Dickson College in Canberra, revamping the theater program there. In 2011, she relocated to North America, working as a stage manager in Toronto, before moving to New York City. As the Education Manager of the Drama League of New York, she founded the Drama League Theater Center’s Studio Lab and launched a range of educational programming for high school students through to mid-career professionals. She returned to the education sector in 2017 and now creates middle school English curricula and assessments for the Success Academy Charter Schools network. Her passions include theater, music, travel, pasta and cats.
Lyana Fernandez, Secretary
Lyana Fernandez is an Executive Assistant at a financial company in midtown Manhattan and serves as both an Activist and erstwhile Actor and Teaching Artist outside of business hours. As a volunteer worker spanning over ten years, Lyana’s focus has been in womxn’s health and legal rights, housing justice, and immigration reform, and she is excited and honored that her role at The Other Side allows her to see young womxn and girls tackling these very issues in performance art, her favorite medium.
Dawn Walsh, Treasurer
Dawn Walsh is a native New Yorker of Puerto Rican heritage, and a proud graduate of New York public schools. A graduate of CUNY Hunter College, Dawn has worked in retail planning for 15+ years, most recently as VP Planning for Century 21 Stores. She is a member of Chief, a network of female business leaders. Dawn enjoys fashion, reading and comics, and once played a nun in Sister Act: The Musical! She lives in Astoria with her husband, son and crazy dog.
Sabina Chatterjee, Board Member
Sabina is a Director in the Investment Banking group at Wells Fargo Securities, covering corporate clients in the Chemicals sector. Before banking, Sabina spent over a decade in Equity Research, including 7 years covering the Chemicals sector at Wells Fargo and BB&T Capital Markets, and 4 years covering the Machinery & Diversified Industrials sector at J.P. Morgan. Prior to finance, Sabina was a chemical engineer in the Process Technology group at Colgate-Palmolive.
Sabina earned her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, and a B.S./B.E. in Biology and Chemical Engineering from New York University and Stevens Institute of Technology. Sabina is a Trustee of The Chemists’ Club, a non-profit organization that works with its student chapters to encourage the study of chemistry / chemical engineering and facilitate professional development.
As an Indian-American and mom to two girls, Sabina was drawn to the mission statement of The Other Side and hopes to help advance its cause globally.
